I am originally from the United States where I studied drama and music and obtained a university degree in political science.
I have lived with my family in Belgium for over 20 years now and during this time I've worked in European affairs related to the environment, health, and education.
I followed up my interest in education by qualifying with Cambridge University as a teacher of English as a second language. I am now studying at the Vrij Universiteit Brussel in a preparatory programme for a Masters in English Literature. In addition, I teach English at private language schools in Brussels and give private and group lessons for adults and children.

I really enjoy the
teaching experience and in particular watching my students grow in
confidence
and ability. My main aim is to ensure
that students acquire key skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) in an engaging and relaxed atmosphere.
